Pricing and Plans FAQ
Do you provide access to existing shared short codes?
YES. Shared
short codes often provide a temporary solution while your dedicated short code is being certified by the carriers. However, a shared short code can be a permanent solution for smaller businesses or organizations.
Can I have API access to a shared short code?
You can certainly access 'some' of our API's on a shared short code. We have simple and reliable methods to integrate web forms on your site for data collection and we have many automated features to integrate our platform with your internal CRM programs and data sources. However, sending outbound SMS messages directly from your applications requires a dedicated short code.
How long does it take to get a dedicated short code?
We always try to keep dedicated short codes on hand. Even though this has significant carrying costs for us, it allows our clients to get started right away while we submit a program amendment to the carriers. If you need to order a new dedicated short code, please allow 8-12 weeks while we shepherd your code through the carrier's 3-step process: Provisioning, Testing, and Certification.
