Difference between SMS and MMS Marketing
SMS (Short Message Service) messages are limited to 160 characters and are the most common type of text message consumers receive. However, MMS Marketing messages (Multimedia Messaging Service) are text messages that include embedded images, video, and audio files that can be placed together in a slide show and can include up to 2,000 characters of text.
The SUMOTEXT MMS Builder allows clients to drag and drop image, audio, and video files to create rich media text messages that can include up to 2,000 characters of text. We also save your content to our staging server in multiple file formats using multiple compression codecs. This allows us to apply the device profiles we receive from carriers and optimize the payload for your customer's specific mobile device.
MMS BARCODE GENERATOR
Through the same point-and-click interface or through developer APIs, SUMOTEXT clients can also pass their own transaction IDs or have unique IDs generated to deliver 2D barcodes (QR Code or PDF-417) on-demand.
DYNAMIC INSERTION OF PASSBOOK PASSES
SUMOTEXT also support the mobile delivery of all transaction-embedded objects including Passbook Passes via MMS and NFC tokens directly into the mobile wallet on iPhones, Andriod, and Blackberry (via PassWallet).
Optical Scanners, POS, and CodeReadR
While merchant adoption of optical scanners has slowed the adoption of mobile coupons, there are great, inexpensive solutions to scanning and validating mobile barcodes and Passbook passes at point of sale (POS), like our friends have produced at CodeReadR. CodeReadR can turn any smart phone into an optical scanner! If you want to be treated great, tell them that SUMOTEXT sent you!
