MMS Messaging Service
Difference between an SMS and MMS Message
SMS (Short Message Service) messages are limited to 160 characters and are the most common type of text message consumers receive. However,
MMS messages (Multimedia Messaging Service) are text messages that include embedded images, video, audio, and objects like barcodes, Passbook Passes, and Google Wallet Objects that can be placed together in a slide show and can include up to 5,000 characters of text.
Our MMS Builder
The SUMOTEXT MMS Builder is a utility in our mobile relationship management platform allows clients to drag and drop image, audio, and video files to create rich media text messages that can include multiple pages of slide shows and up to 5,000 characters of text - all in a single MMS message.
We also save your content to our staging server in multiple file formats using multiple compression codecs. This allows us to apply the device profiles we receive from carriers and optimize the payload for your customer's specific mobile device.
Our MMS Barcode Generator
Through the same point-and-click interface or through developer APIs, SUMOTEXT clients can also pass their own transaction IDs or have unique IDs generated to deliver 2D barcodes (QR Code or PDF-417) on-demand.
Dynamic Insertion of Passbook Passes and Google Wallet Objects
SUMOTEXT also support the mobile delivery of all transaction-embedded objects including Passbook Passes via MMS and NFC tokens directly into mobile wallets on iOS, Andriod, Blackberry, and Windows Mobile devices.
